CoinTradeX

πŸ“š Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

❓ What is CoinTradeX?

CoinTradeX is a simulated cryptocurrency trading platform created for educational and training purposes. You can practice buying, selling, and analyzing crypto markets without using real money.

❓ Do I need real money to trade?

No. This is a demo platform. All balances and transactions are simulated. Your INR and crypto balances are virtual and stored in a JSON file locally.

❓ Where do the prices come from?

We use the CoinGecko API to fetch real-time market prices of popular cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, and DOGE.

❓ Which cryptocurrencies are supported?

Currently, we support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), and Dogecoin (DOGE). More may be added in future versions.

❓ How does the buying/selling process work?

When you buy a coin, the INR equivalent is deducted from your balance, and the coin is added to your wallet. When you sell, the coin is removed and INR is credited. All prices are based on live market data.

❓ Can I lose money here?

No. Since it’s a simulation, you can’t lose actual money. But you can experience profit/loss as you would in real trading β€” helping you learn without risk.

❓ What is profit & loss (P&L) calculation?

P&L shows the difference between the INR you invested, INR you earned from selling, and the current market value of your holdings. This helps you understand your overall trading performance.

❓ Is CoinTradeX a real trading platform?

No. CoinTradeX is a learning tool. It is not a registered financial service or cryptocurrency exchange. Please do not treat this as a platform for real trading.

❓ Can I reset my wallet?

Currently, you need to contact the admin (or clear the JSON file manually) to reset your balances. A wallet reset feature may be added later.

❓ Where is my data stored?

Your wallet and transaction history are saved in JSON files under the /data/ directory. There is no database integration in this version.
